November Overview:

Students Supporting Israel was able to grow from 21 chapters to 24


chapters with the joining of Georgetown University, University of Tennessee
and University of Huston - Victoria.
From November 1st to November 30th 1248 Students across North
America took part in Students Supporting Israel events.
Students Supporting Israel hosted 58 events on college campuses and
Universities.
Students Supporting Israel was able to get 10,507 Facebook Likes and
reach an average of 28,304 people a week on social media.
6 articles and 1 radio show covered the activity of Students Supporting
Israel in the Media including the Jewish Press, the Algemeiner and a front
page in the Minnesota Daily.
SSI Ryerson PASSED a RESULTION in its student government which states:
Ryerson University and student government will be fighting anti-Semitism
on campus!

Students Supporting Israel top November events:


1. Students Supporting Israel San Diego State University Brave Miss World
(Women Week), November 3rdSSI SDSU hosted a documentary movie screening about the Israeli Miss World
who was raped six weeks before being crowned. The event included movie
screening and a speaker on a topic of rape and sexual assault. Greek houses on
campus participated at the event which hosted 133 students.
2. Students Supporting Israel at the University of Minnesota Small World
Coffee Hour arrives in Israel, November 7th
For the Second year in a row SSI UMN partnered up with the Small World Coffee
Hour club on campus in order to educate students from different backgrounds
and nationalities about Israel. An event which included Israeli food, music and
culture drew 122 Students to it.
3. Students Supporting Israel at Augsburg College (MN) Pathway to Peace
on campus, November 17th
In a week which included two events at Augsburg College SSI Augsburg hosted
a candlelight vigil and a panel about Israel. The events were sponsored by
different departments at Augsburg College only a month after the SSI National
Movement overturned Augsburg College student body decision and registered
its Chapter on campus. 112 Students participated at the events.
4. Illini Students Supporting Israel Israel Classes Discussion Series
November 2nd, 9th, 20th
Illini Students Supporting Israel leading a series of classes in which Students have
the opportunity to come and learn about Israel. This is a student led discussion
course which provides answers to complex topics that are related to the State
of Israel. 60 Students attended the lectures and the classes.
5. Aggie Students Supporting Israel Texas A&M Student Leadership Dinner
November 10th
Students from across the university came and heard about the importance of
the American Israeli relations from Representative Bill Flores. Corps Commandant
General. Joe Ramirez, and other officials from the university. Student leaders

had the opportunity to speak on the issue and were served an authentic Israeli
dinner. 53 Student Leaders participated at the event.
6. Students Supporting Israel at Augsburg College (MN) Israeli Consul
General SSI tour, November 10th
After the amazing victory Students Supporting Israel reached at Augsburg
College the Israeli Consul General to the Midwest Honorable Roey Gilad visited
campus as part of his SSI campus tour. The event was sponsored by Augsburg
International Department. 56 Students showed up to the event.
7. Students Supporting Israel at the University of Minnesota Israeli Consul
General SSI tour, November 11th
Honorable Roey Gilad visited the HOME of Students Supporting Israel where the
international movement was first founded. In a morning event on campus 41
students came to listen to the Israeli consul speaking about the Middle East, the
Israeli American relations and the situation on campus. 44 Students showed up
for the consul visit.
8. Students Supporting Israel at the University of Indiana Israel Chocolate
Tasting Night November 19th
SSI Indiana hosted a cultural event about Israel in which Student could attend
and explore the amazing taste of Israel. Which Chooclate and candy from Israel
and with the importance of the Israeli American relations, student came ate
and learned. 33 Students attended the event.
9. Students Supporting Israel at Loyola Marymount University (CA) SSI
Tabling / recruiting on campus November 6th Members of Students Supporting Israel at Loyola Marymount University been
tabling and recruiting members for the new SSI club on campus. Engaging
students in conversation about the importance of the Israeli-American relations
and introducing Israel to the students on campus. 47 Students signed up for the
club.
10. Students Supporting Israel at the University of Vermont Noam Bedein
from the Sderont Media Center Lecture November 19th
SSI Vermont hosted Noam Bedein from the Sderot Media Center in Israel. Noam
discussed the situation in Southern Israel. What life under rocket fire really look
like, and what students across North America can do in order to support the

citizens of Southern Israel by using social and traditional media. 27 Students


attended the lecture.

11. Students Supporting Israel at Ryerson Universit (Canada) LGBTQ rights in
Israel November 27th.
12. Students Supporting Israel at University of Kansas SSI Kickoff event
November November 20th.
13. Students Supporting Israel at the New Mexico Military Institute End of the
Semester event November 21st.
