    leadarescuemissiontogetBethandCaroloutoftheGradyMemorialHospital.Notto
    mentionEugenesrevelationthathisstoryaboutbeingabletocurethewalkerviruswas
    completelymadeup.
    NowwerewaitinguntilFebruary2015beforewecanseehowtherestofSeason5playsout.
    Foronce,therearenolingeringquestions,suchasWilltheymakeittoWashingtonD.C.?or
    Willtheymakeitbacktogether?Theyaretogether,butdonthaveanyrealcommitments.
    So,thegoalformerightnowistosurvivethenextcoupleofmonthsbetweenthefirsthalfand
    thesecondhalfoftheseason.HereareafewthingsIvethoughtof,andImwelcomingother
    ideasfromreaders.

    1. Getmoresleep.ItistruethatbeingadiehardfanofTheWalkingDeadcanmean
    sacrificingalotofsleep.Iamtypicallyuppast11p.m.becauseittakestwohoursto
    watchanepisode.Onehourfortheactualepisode,andthenanotherhourtowatch
    TheTalkingDead,whereyougettowatchthereactiontotheepisode,behindthe
    scenesinformation,etc.
    2. FindasubstituteonTV.IthoughtIhaddonethisacoupleofweeksagowhenIwas
    flippingthroughthechannelsandsawthatZNationwasontheSyFychannel.I
    tunedin,butwasquicklyunderwhelmed.ZNationfeaturessomeofthesame
    elementsfromTheWalkingDead,suchas(ofcourse)zombies,andagroupof
    survivorswithalotofpersonalityconflictsanddysfunction.Unfortunately,alltheshow
    didwasfirmlyremindmeofwhyIlikewatchingTheWalkingDead,forwhichitwasa
    verypoorsubstitute.Thecharactersweretwodimensional,thedialoguewas
    atrocious,andeventhezombieeffectsweresubpar.MaybeIwasjustunfortunate
    enoughtocatchtheshowsworstepisode,orsomething.Thatwouldbelike
    somebodyjudgingTheWalkingDeadbyanepisodetheysawinSeason2.
    3. Watchzombiemovies.Ivetriedthisinthepastwithoutverymuchsuccess.I
    watchedDawnoftheDead(OrDay,Night,MidNoon,itjustwasoneofthose)and
    couldonlygetuptothepointwherethefirstpersonchangedintoazombie,becauseit
    wassographic.ItisfunnytothinkaboutthefactthatIamafanofTWDbutnotafan
    ofthezombiemoviesasagenre.IhaveseenWorldWarZ,andlikedit,andalso
    readthebook.(Thebookwasbetter,btw)
    4. RewatchseasonsofTheWalkingDead.Sure,ithasbeenawhilesinceIveseen
    episodesfromthefirstfourseasons,soitprobablywouldbefuntorewatchthem
    whileihavetheopportunity.WhenIfirstbecameacquaintedwiththeshow,Ihad
    begunwatchingtheepisodesonNetflix,andthenjoinedSeason2alreadyinprogress

    (Istartedwatchingduringthesecondhalf,thenhadtolearnmoreaboutwhat
    happenedduringthefirsthalfoftheseasonviaNetflixassoonasthatseasonbecame
    available).Sincethen,IvekeptupwiththeseasonsonTVbutwevealsolostour
    Netflixsubscription.However,IcouldrentaseasonfromourlocallibraryonDVD.
    5. WritemyownTheWalkingDeadlikestory.Well,no,nothingcanbeasgoodas
    TWDandIdontwanttojusttrytocopyit.But,watchingtheshowmakesmethink
    aboutotherscenarios,suchaswhatifavirusturnedeveryoneintowerewolves.For
    me,themostintriguingaspectofTWDisthecharactersandthestoriestheshowtells.
    YoucouldreplaceZombieswithalmostanyothertypeofthreat,andaslongasthe
    storystillhadstrongcharactersandgooddrama,thenitwouldwork.Haveyouwritten

    6. PlaytheWalkingDeadTelltalegame.Triedthisaboutayearago,butdidntgetvery
    far.But,Iamnotabigvideogameplayer,andafterthefirstchapterIreachedapoint
    whereIcouldntstayaliveandwasbasicallystuck.Overall,Ithoughtthatthegame
    wasprettycool,andtheconceptwasinnovative.
