Summative Assessments

Provide at least three examples of summative assessments that either you have used or you

As a French teacher I use summative assessments every semester to evaluate my students

in both speaking, listening, and writing. Summative assessment allows me to view students'
progress in French class. For instance during the first semester, students are expected to
know how to greet and introduce each other in French. Differentiate between formal and
informal greeting. Differentiate among the days of the week and the months of the year. As
well as count to 100 in French. Summative assessment allows me to view if the students are
on the right track. Summative assessments give me a whole picture of what the students
need to work on to proceed to the next level.
