Rap Assignment
Now its your turn to take what you have learned about raps message and
structure to write your own rap. You can work alone or in pairs to write your rap but it
must meet the following criteria:
1. It must have a topic related to social justice
2. It must employ 3 of the following:
a. Metaphor
b. Alliteration
c. Hyperbole
d. Allegory
e. Consonance
f. Assonance
3. You must be able to answer questions related to the message and purpose of
the poem as well as its structure.
4. You must perform the poem either live or recorded onto a track.
Remember to be creative and have fun with the assignment.
