Seminar objectives (exposure and applications)

Understanding of the basics notions to which ecology, sustainable and local development is working;

Identification of the environment protection role in definition of a new type of social-economical development;

Knowing and understanding of the economical and social activities impact on environment, history and urban patrimony;

Understanding of the methods and tools for environment condition assesmen, and also of the regulation regarding
environmental factors (water, air, ground);

Aplications regarding the urban landscape and regeneration.

Select from magazines or internet two reprezentations of the town which refers to ideal town or
society and the opposite. Compare with the ones selected by your coleages.

Imagine your own declaration of love to your home town. Which are the elements that you are
first thinking of? To which you asociate them in your memory?

Name three different neighborhoods from the town you live in. Try to explain what is different 3
about them. Which one do you concider beautiful and which ugly and why?

Describe you town center mentioning the shape and size of free space, surrounding buildings 6
(shape, function), activities that people are doing in this space.
Visiting the area.

Describe the neighborhood you are living in, mentioning the shape, and size of the free space
(streets, alleys, gardens, etc), the type of buildings ( high, few levels, houses, etc).

Identify - with LMI 2010 (www.cultura.ro) 10 historical buildings from the area you live in.

Making a flyer for persons from the target group: rezident, press representative, public institution
reprezentative.
Choosing an objectiv for urban regeneration (3 persons for each objectiv).
