PRECAUTIONS
1.

As the universal ioint is a non-disassembly type' the


propeller shaft or intermediate shaft must be replaced
as an assembly in the event of universalioint trouble.

2.

Be careful not to grip the propeller shaft tube too tightly in the vise as this will cause deformation.

(c) Using SST to hold the flange, tighten down a

(e) Torque the nut again.

(a) Depress the brake pedal several times with the
engineoff, and check that there is no changein the
pedal reservedistance.
(b) Depressthe brake pedal and start the engine.lf the
pedal goes down slightly,operationis normal.

2.

AIR TIGHTNESS
(d Start the engineand stop it after one or two minutes.
Then depressthe brakepedalseveraltimes slowly.lf
the pedal goes down fartherest the first time, and
less the second and third time, the boo$ter is air
tight.
(b) Depressthe brakepedalwhile the engineis running,
and stop it with the pedal depressed.lf there is no
changein pedalreservetravel after holdingthe pedal
