Training Needs Assessment Overview


Objective
The purpose of this assessment is to create a resourceful program that will help fulfill companys aspiration.
This assessment will support major businesses and create appropriate solutions to establishments casualties.
This assessment includes steps to ensuring trainings are being effective, and recognize employees and
consumer needs.

Goal
The overall goal is to ensure trainings are increasing companys revenue. The training needs assessment will
help identify performance gap. Then, the analysis process will review appropriate measures to help each
professional understand their position in company. Progress gap and prospect gap are critical measuring
components in fulfilling companys ambitions.

Mission Statement
Training needs assessment is a systematic effort to identify training needs and strengthen individuals
performance to increase companys revenue.

Keys to Success
There are many factors to access when analyzing successful organizations. In this needs assessment plan, we
will focus on the following six successful tactics:

Access individuals skills.

Commit and support organizations decisions.

Test companys framework.

Ensure business information is accurate.

Maintain corporations confidentiality.

Ensure expectations are clear.

Description of Sears
Sears was one of the top leading businesses in the country. Today, Sears is considered the third largest
merchandise retail company in the United States. Its revenue has made tremendous strides in previous years.
However, their overall revenue has declined over the years. This training needs assessment is design to help
close any performance gaps, and create positive outcomes.

Products and Services


Sears products consist of apparel, jewelry, major appliances, and home improvement goods. Sears attempt to
increase overall sales by merging with Kmart. However, Sears still struggle with competing with stores such as
Wal-Mart and Target. Through this training need assessment, we can analyze other successful corporations,
and come up with alternative solutions.

The products are assorted in both Sears Department Stores and Kmart Super Store locations. All these
locations will benefit from utilizing the training needs assessment. It is imperative for all personnel to
understand what is required to increase Searss sales performance.

Level of Assessment
Sears leadership is a critical component in the overall companys success. In this assessment, we will analyze
training methods to utilize in the workplace. The following are three main components that will be assessed:

Organizational Influence
This assessment will give details on the competence of individuals at Sears, and ensure their organizational
skills meets Searss objectives.

Professional Skills
Professionalism will be related to the overall knowledge and attitude that is carried out daily.

Self-Evaluation
Individuals will be able to measure their performance by responding to customer surveys and managers
feedback.

Sears will have the opportunity to meet with an advance instructional team. This dynamic team will help
Searss management group examine monthly revenue packets, and develop solutions to increase monthly
revenue.

Available Resources
Sears first propriety is making sure their customers are being satisfied with the goods and services that are
being received. Customers are welcome to take part in surveys and provide extensive feedback of their
performance. This is an essential unit in our monthly analysis data review. We will have a variety of hands-on
tools that will help consumers evaluate their customer representative performance. We will also invite
customers to discuss and examine the product they have purchased.
The following are resources that will be provided to employees & consumers:

Sears Feedback App.

Email will be sent to consumers for product review.

Formal Surveys offered at all Searss locations

Time Allotted for the Assessment


This needs assessment is not a one-time training experience. It is a monthly instructional workshop that will
provide continuous feedback on how to increase Searss transactions. The instructional team will meet each
month to analyze data from consumers, employees, and sales.

Training Measure Analysis


The training needs assessment will continuously evaluate Searss progress. Additionally, the needs assessment
will offer training materials that will be beneficial to all Searss personal. The materials will acknowledge
consumers evaluation contributions by providing alternative ways to ensure they continue to support Searss
production. Also, it will provide extensive details on employees concerns and ways to increase professional
moral.

Training Methodology
Searss management team, employees, & buyers play a tremendous role in collecting accurate data. The needs
assessment will ensure customers service representative modify negative behavior to meet the needs of
consumers. It is essential that Searss leaders observe behaviors, and make profound decisions on how to
enhance professional skills.
The following are essential modules incorporated in the needs assessment:

Focus on making positive changes that will increase professional growth.

Evaluate customers needs and wants.

Examine intervention methods for employers lacking specific skills.

Assessment Protocol
After the needs assessment is approved; the instructional teams will immediately commerce to evaluate
progress. Assessment Instruments will include:

The senior and vice president of Sears will inform all Sears personal of appropriate schedule to take place
within the month.

Analysis Procedures
1. The needs assessment plan will be conducted monthly.
2. Request previous sales report, customer concerns, and employees evaluations.
3. Manage questionnaire and overall performance
4. Explore data and create an action plan, immediately.
5. Submit plan to Searss Vice President of Human Resources, and management team
6. Sears Vice president will make final decisions:
The instructional designers will determine the best instructional method, and discuss the plan with Senior
Vice President of Sears.

It is imperative to have goals mapped out. Visual expectations can help increase overall performance, and
motivate organizations to increase revenue. Successful companies set goals. Without them, they have no
defined purpose and nothing to strive for; consequently, they stagnate and struggle for meaningful

sample goal for Sears organization. The trainers analysis expectations for Sears are to make great strides each
year.
