The visit to Turkey was a

new experience for all participants:
starting with the geographic
position of the partner school,
located in Istanbul on the Asian
continent,
and
ending
with
hospitality (teachers and families
who have hosted students).
Students came into direct contact
with the daily life of a family of a
different
religion
and
other
customs.
The
visit
included
educational
activities,
entertainment and tourism which
allowed achieving objectives.
We enjoyed a beautiful
welcome both teachers and
students were housed families of
Turkish pupils. Students came

Education
International
Conference brought together
teachers and students from
several schools in Istanbul,
partner schools in our project and
an impressive number of local
officials. For exposures of some
local community representatives
have understood how popular are
European projects in schools in
Turkey, support the school by the
Municipality,
Ministry
of
Education, the importance that
the government attaches to
education and children.

Other schools in Istanbul were short

presentations about the ongoing
European projects, presentations from
which we found interesting and useful
things for our project's final products.

Each partner country made a short

presentation about what has been
achieved in the first year of the
project. Examples on local activities
were applauded by the audience.
The conference was interrupted by
brief artistic moments offered by the
host school students, but also by
students from School Nicolae
Titulescu" from Bucharest, Romania,
who presented a suite of Romanian
folk dances.
Purpose

Dissemination of local and joint

activities and results achieved in the
first year of the project in an
International Conference of education
through European projects.

Knowledge of traditional culture of Turkey

During the work session the

teachers were established several
activities for this year and talked
about topics of future meetings in
Italy. Students participated in a
painting workshop in the water,
creating
original
decorative
materials.
Little
journalists
interviewed,
filmed
and
photographed the most interesting
moments during the visit.
A tour of the old center of
Istanbul occasioned the discovery
history of Turkey, discovering rich
and fascinating culture. We were
impressed
greatness
of
monuments, mosques, diversity of
museums,
beautiful
buildings,
bridges over the sea, the crowd of
tourists that invade Istanbul every
day. Lunch and dinner have
delighted the senses with various
dishes of Turkish cuisine.

The third day was

dedicated to meeting with local
journalists and Maltepe Mayor.
The meeting with Mayor of
Maltepe
and
awarding
ceremony of certificates of
participation in mobility was
preceded by an elegant brunch
in the company of local officials
and local journalists.
