theICRDSoccerClub.InadditionIamamemberofNationalHonorsSociety,SpanishHonors
Society,NationalArtHonorsSociety,andMuAlphaTheta(MathHonorsSociety).

JunioryearIcompletedmyPRIDEresearchpapercoveringthetopicofAnesthesiology.
Anesthesiologyisthebranchofmedicineconcernedwithanesthesiaandanesthetics.

Therearevarioustypeofanesthesiadependingonthesituationandpersoninvolvedinthe
procedure.Anesthesiawillresulttoinsensitivityofpainwheninducedbytheadministrationof
gasesortheinjectionofdrugspriortosurgicalperformances.Anesthesiologistsoccupation
requiresthemtomakesureandprovideenoughmedicationforthepatient.Anesthesiadoctors
responsibilitiesmakecertainthatthepatientkeepsallvitalfunctions.Thisisamedicalfieldthat
hascaptivatedmyattention.Iamunquestionablyconsideringpursuingacareerasan
anesthesiologist.

FormyfinalproductIwillbeproducingachildrensbookregardinginformationonanesthesia
andsharingtheknowledgeIhavegainedwithothers.Iwillincorporateoriginaldrawings.The

bookwillcontainbasicsonanesthesiology,howitworks,whyitisdone,andhowitaffects
peopletodayandbenefitsourworld.Inordertoperfectmyproduct,Iwillneedtoreflectbackon
myresearchpaperandmakecertainIhaveencompassedallvaluablefactsintotheshortstory.I
willsendtheproducttoRichardBensimon,mymentor,foreditingandtochecktheaccuracyof
information.Iwillselfeditthestorytoensurethatthecontentandstorylinearesuitablefor
presentingtochildren.TobetterthefinaloutcomeoftheproductIwillintakecriticismfrom
otherpeersandhavealowerschoolacademicpartnerreviewthereadingcontenttoensurethe
bookiswrittenattheappropriatelevelforchildren.Iwillpresentthebooktothelowerschool.
