Aftering finding old articles that the school had stored and finding new ones
online, it was identified that the school has had many sinkhole problems, dating back
to 2010. The school had to actually transfer to two other schools, Bailey Elementary
and Strawberry Crest High School in order to continue the school year. This move
caused difficulty to keep students focused and made it difficult for teachers to
continue their lessons. Researching the people of the community, it was stated that
the average household makes $46,000 in the area. I thought this was misleading
because many of the families in the area are not counted because they may not be US
citizens. After speaking with my collaborative teacher, I found out that she did not
have a degree in Education, but she did have her teaching certificate and a degree in
psychology.
