Removing and installing rear side panel (bottom)

Removing
Remove wheel housing liner Chapter.
Remove side member trim Chapter.
Remove bolts -arrows-.
Unscrew bolt -3- from bracket for side
panel.
Detach metal clip -2- from rear side
panel (bottom) -1-.

Carefully release retaining tabs -1- and 2- at rear side panel (bottom) at retaining
lugs -arrows-.
Detach rear side panel (bottom) from
side panel trim fasteners.
Installing
l Gap widths Chapter
l Tightening torques Chapter
Install in reverse order of removal; note the
following:
Press rear side panel (bottom) into side

panel trim fasteners until it engages

audibly.

WARNING
Risk of fire.
When installing, make sure that the drain
hose for the tank flap unit is installed

Install side member trim Chapter.
Install wheel housing liner Chapter.
