Writing the Story...
Critical Thinking
I can compare and contrast age-appropriate literature.
I can analyze character traits and understand how those traits affect a plot.
Creativity
I can change the setting, characters, and plot in a traditional story to create my
own using a story board.
Communication
I can use my story board to communicate my own version of a traditional story,
in a logical, sequential order, including details of the setting, characters, and plot,
so that my reader or listener can clearly imagine it.
Collaboration
I can receive critique on the different elements of my story, and use that critique
to edit my story.
I can respectfully critique my classmates work to help them edit their stories.

Presenting the Musical


Critical Thinking
I can evaluate my readiness for performing in front of an audience, and make
decisions about what I need to practice and how much.
I can evaluate the groups performance and think of ways to improve it.
I can consider and discuss the costumes that best reflect the personalities of the
characters.
Creativity
I can make choices about the actions and vocal expressions of my character that I
feel would best portray the personality of that character.
I can help choose settings for the background projection (on the screen).

Communication
I can use my body, facial expressions, speech, and singing voice in order to best
represent my character and the mood of the story.
Collaboration
I can give and receive critique on my and other students performance and revise
my performance based on the feedback I receive.
I can adjust my performance in order to improve the group performance as a
whole.
I can sing and act with the group.
I can work with a group to make the stage set.

Creating the Houses and Map


Critical Thinking
I can transfer design ideas from a 2D format to a 3D format, and make choices
about the best materials to use to represent the design ideas.
I can consider the plot of my original story to create the layout of the setting on a
map.
Creativity
I can design original houses for my Three Pigs story with characteristics that
affect the plot.
Communication
I can use my map to communicate the setting of my Three Pigs story.
I can explain the design choices I made for my 3D representation.
Collaboration
I can give and receive critique on the map layout and house designs for my and
the students Three Pigs story.
I can edit my map and house designs based on the critique I receive from others.
