This week we are learning:
Circle Time Review
This week in circle time the students
will review the vocabularies they
learnt last week and they will do this
by playing the games we played last
week including fishing, match the
opposites and four corners.
This week we will also review
numbers as a part of ongoing
learning.

Review
Phonics

Monday Sing the ABC's. Alphabet

hop- Student's will have to hop
over letters and say the letter name
of each letter as they go.
Tuesday EP Phonics activity
book
Wednesday- Sing the ABC's.
Alphabet memory game- students
will have to find pairs of letters
hidden under bowls.
Thursday EP Phonics activity
book
Friday Sing the ABC's. BowlingStudents will roll a ball at pins with
letters on them. Each pin (water
bottle) they knock down they will
have to say the letter.

Opposites
Activity Time

Vocabulary: fast/slow, loud/quiet, boy/girl, happy/sad, left/right, big/small, yes/no,

up/down, open/close, clean/dirty, pretty/ugly
Sentence structure: What is the opposite? It is slow/fast etc
What is this? It is fast

Games:
Game: Fast flashcard collecting Reveal flashcards to the class one by one. The first student to say the word on the
nacard successfully keeps the card. The student with the biggest collection when
all the cards have been handed out wins.
Game: Match the opposite game- Have students match opposites
Activities: Sensory activity Hot and cold Using two containers one with warm
water and the other cold, the students will be blindfolded and have to put their
hands in the different containers and have to guess which is what!
New (letters/sounds/vocabulary)
The students no longer practice letter in the Jolly Phonics format but will finish
any phonics worksheets during activity time.
