This week we are learning:

Family

Circle Time Review

We will review the usual DOTW and
Weather. We will take some time to
do some stretching and a bit of yoga.
If the students listen and follow along
with the teacher, it will allow the
students to review body parts and
learn new verbs without even
realizing it. And it's fun too!

Dates: December 26-30, 2015

Activity Time
Vocabulary: Mommy, Daddy, Baby, Brother, Sister, Grandma, and
Grandpa.
Sentence structure: Who is this?.......(Mommy, Daddy, etc.)
Activities:
We will review the flash cards to confirm comprehension. We will sing
the Family Fingersong and Wheels on the Bus. We will use pictures
and play games for better understanding. Games: Fly Swat (to correctly
choose the correct vocabulary word) and Corners (to get the students
activated and using all their built up energy).

Phonics

Song:
Finger family This song gets students activated and associating vocabulary with
an action. This will help the students not only memorize the vocabulary but
comprehend the words in a fun way.
Wheels on the Bus- The version of this song also uses family members on the
bus.

Review

New Letters and Sounds

We will go over the sounds and

songs for J, Z, W, Y, X, Z and Q.
We will play fly swat and smack the
correct letters on the board. The
students will race each other and
get really involved in the
competition. This will create
incentive to really learn the sounds
of each letter.

There are no new letters or sounds. We have already learned all of the Jolly Phonics letters. Now
we are practising recognition.

There is no writing practice for this
program.
