In the next Unit of PE we will be practicing fo
the athletics carnival and school sports day.
We will do activities that look at individual
athletic competence like running and jumping.
We will also practice some team games to
work on cooperation and movement as a
group
Chinese/Mandarin
3shopping in China/
Learn basic shopping conversations in
Chinese.

- learn a shopping conversation (express
needs, ask price, pay)

Art
Central Idea: Artists rely on principles of
design to create both two- and threedimensional artworks.
Throughout this unit students will be looking
at a variety of patterning techniques used by
famous artists. They will also discuss how the
element Form can be portrayed in many
different ways. Students will then combine
their knowledge of both Pattern and Form to
create three-dimensional piece of art using
papier mache.
French
Music
The students will work individually or as part
of a group to make a 3-minute audio clip from
several sources that has a particular
'message' and uses a variety of editing tools.
The students will also prepare 2 performance
items: 'Hallelujah' guitar & voice which will be
performed at the Jan 30 assembly, and 'The
Cup Song' involving cups and solo
singers which will be performed at recess in
the cafeteria in the 2nd week of February.
