Bishops Annual Appeal2015

This week we begin the Bishops Annual Appeal. This years theme
is Give with a Joyful Heart. Our parish target is $39,607.00 and we
are confident that with everyones par cipa on we will be able to
exceed that amount. Please give generously today.

St. Peter Claver thes 10% of our weekly oertory to

the poor in the name of Jesus! St. Peter Claver
donates $500.00 to FAM
(Family Advancement Ministry) and $250.00 to the
St. Maximilian Kolbe Center every month.

MINISTERIO DE SANACIN
Durante su ministerio, Jess cur a muchos enfermos de diversos males y
expuls a muchos demonios. As es el caso en el Evangelio de hoy. Jess cumple
la visin del Salmo 147: l sana los corazones destrozados y venda sus heridas.
Jess saba, sin embargo, que nunca podra sanar todas las enfermedades del
mundo. Por mucha gente que curara o muchas horas que dedicara al ministerio,
siempre habra ms personas afligidas como Job, ansiosos de su toque sanador.
Su misin principal no era la de erradicar todo sufrimiento del mundo. Su
obligacin era predicar la venida del Reino de Dios que sana, s, pero en ltimo
caso, trasciende y transforma todo sufrimiento humano. Con Pablo, Jess pudiera

destrozados. Las lecturas y su mensaje
Job 7:1-4, 6-7 Job expone su lamento por la existencia
humana en el mundo frgil, sufriente y fugaz. Es un lamento que recuerda los de aquellos que parecen estar cercanos
a la muerte, sin certeza de levantarse. La noche es larga.
Porque tiene conianza en Dios, Job es franco y directo en
su lamento, inclusive atrevido en sus acusaciones; no teme
decir lo que siente, ni lo encubre con diplomacias.
1 Corintios 9:16-23 En las ciudades griegas no era rara
la figura de un filsofo que predicara la verdad y luego
esperara una compensacin monetaria por sus enseanzas y
trabajos. Pablo quiere marcar la diferencia con los
misioneros cristianos y por eso insiste en que stos lo
tienen que hacer gratuitamente, con el solo inters de
cumplir la misin encomendada por Dios. Negociar con la
Palabra de Dios no es permisible. Mejor luchar por la subsistencia con las propias manos que permitir este tipo de
obstculo al anuncio fiel de Cristo, quien en la cruz mostr
su opcin por los dbiles.

Catecmenos que no han sido bauzados y que van a
recibir los 3 sacramentos de Iniciacion. Tambin los
Candidatos que estn preparando para completer los
sacramentos de Iniciacin asisten al Rito de Eleccin.
Cada Catecmeno y Candidato deben tener su Padrino

Upcoming VIRTUS Session

A VIRTUS class has been scheduled at St. Peter Claver
Church in Macon on Saturday, February 28th, from
9:00 am 12 noon. This training is required for Safe
Environment Compliance for any adult who will come
into contact with youth as part of their
ministry, (a lis ng of those ministries can be found at
h p://bit.ly/1yU4Yk6) and must be completed before
they begin ministry. Sea ng is limited to only 25
spaces at this session and you must pre-registra on
online to save your seat.

A total of 28 life saving units were collected. There were 22

whole blood donations and 6 doubles that were collected. This
will provide life saving blood and or blood products to nearly 84
patients in our community. Here is a tentative schedule for
future Blood Drives, so people can plan a little.
