This 8 weeks internship was carried out in HINDUSTAN ZINC LIMITED, (HZL), which is the world 6th
largest producer of zinc and Indias largest, under the guidance of Mr. Brahm Prakash Arya (Senior.
Manager Process) for the Advance Scientific Research summer project.
2. Summer internship 2006
Initiated a research project in Dept of chemistry at UNIVERSITY OF DURHAM, UK, whose Dept of
chemistry is rated as one of the best in UK, under the guidance of Dr. Ritu Kataky, Dept of chemistry,
University of Durham, UK
PROJECTS DONE:
1.

The project involved To find out optimum conditions of acid leaching to recover maximum
acid soluble zinc at SBU II Zinc Smelter, Debari, Udaipur, INDIA under the guidance of Mr.
Brahm Prakash Arya ( senior manager process)

2.

Initiated a research project in University of Durham, UK. On Producing an experimental model

of stretch receptors and exciting them with a stretch stimulus and observing the chemical and
electrical response under the guidance of Dr.Ritu Kataky. Dept of chemistry, Durham
University.
