CARETAKERS DEATH IN SAO PAULO

relationship with Jezi. The incident occurred after a fight with a resident of the building where he
worked.
Victim: Jezi Lopes de Souza - 63 years old.
Killer: Eduardo Tadeu Pinto Martins - 47 years old - Advertiser.
Alleged Accomplice: Ieda Cristina Martins - 42 years old.
Arrested: June, 2 - 2014 - When he was trying to burn body parts caretaker.

Police believe that Jezi was killed in Eduardos apartment in May 30. The security
footage of the condominium recorded the time when the caretaker went to one of the floors to
deliver letters, but not returned either by lift or stairs.
According to a witness, she heard a discussion on the eleventh floor of the building with
a resident, who according to her, did not have a good relationship with the caretaker. They

usually arguing for trivial reasons, such as delivering newspaper and parking spaces in the
building. Moreover, the caretaker was recorded in the occurrences book of the condominium a
threat made by the advertising.
The cameras recorded that around 5 pm, Eduado and the lawyer Ieda, his wife, dragged a
suitcase and a black bag to a vehicle. When they were asked about the occasion, they admitted
that they had not a good relationship with the caretaker, but that nothing wrong had happened on
the day of the crime.
The police searched the apartment and the couples car and found similar black bags to
the shoot. However, inside the bags had only clothes. According the couple the clothes would for

violence both in the apartment and in the vehicle.
According to a Brazilian newspaper, the experts also have found the ramshackle

crime. The first reconstitution happened a week before with Eduardo and his wife. The
advertising confessed to the crime, but he said to the police the death was accidental. Jezi died
after hitting his head on the doorframe during a discussion between them.
