The main focus of this lesson is to start out the day and get the students interacting with teacher and
peers.

Prerequisite knowledge
and skills.

Students will and are familiar with the routine of circle time. They shou
be familiar with colors, counting, the month, circle time songs, some
shapes, etc.
Assessment for circle time consists mainly of attention and classroom
management.

A parapro sits behind students who may have difficultly sitting.

Circle time is set up in the classroom around an oval shaped rug. Smal
student chairs would be set up around the teachers chair. Shelves and
storage areas to carry books and other circle time materials would
surround circle time.
