Malaysian food is well-known for its vibrant and diverse flavours, assorted

influences and rich history. Visitors often express their delight and amazement at the
impressive variety of food.
One of my own choices of Malaysian food is Penag asam laksa. The ingredients
used in creating this tantalizing dish are simple and can be found almost anywhere. The
most basic ingredients are fish, garlic, lemongrass, onion, chili paste and shrimp paste.
Usually it tastes a little bit spicy and it has such a tempting smell.
Other than that, another famous food in Malaysia is cendol. Cendol is a
traditional dessert. It contains popular ingredients of coconut milk and pandan leaf is
used to colour the jelly noodles green which provides a unique contrast of colours.
Shaved ice and palm sugar are added, making the drink refreshing and sweet.
Food is one of the main tourist attractions in Malaysia. Variety is the spice of
Malaysian food. The uniqueness of each food is something that cannot be avoided.
