Teachers intention: To enhance their basic understanding of minerals, types of minerals and how
they are extracted from earth.
Specific Objective: By the end of the lesson students will be able
1. Write the name, type and method of extraction of three minerals in 3 minutes and
2. Write the differences of metallic and non metallic minerals in the worksheet within 7
minutes.
Prior knowledge: understanding of different minerals.
