SCOE New Teacher Induction Program

Overview of Evaluation Processes


In modeling best practices for beginning teachers, the SCOE New Teacher Induction Program engages in a
continuous cycle of assessment, feedback, and improvement. The typical components of the cycle are as follows:

Presentation to BTSA Coordinators


o Review program outcomes for the prior year
Midyear Survey of Participant Teachers (PT) and Support Providers (SP)
PT Assessment of SP Effectiveness
Continuum of Teaching Practice
BTSA Leadership Survey
Summary of Findings
o Discuss Program Goals and Supports
o Presentation is posted to the BTSA website
PTs complete the fall administration of the Continuum of Teaching Practice survey
o Accessed through the website Andrea manages
o Measures perceived competencies on select CSTPs
o Year 1 and year 2 teachers are assessed on different CTSP within each standard grouping
