I’ve taught alongside Ms. Davidson for the 2014-2015 school year and as the 4" grade chairperson in a district of 8 4" grade teachers, Kelsey has stood out the most among all of them. It’s obvious to see Ms. Davidson's determination and drive to be not only a good teacher, but to be the best. She seems to excel at everything she does and will make a fantastic classroom teacher in any district. 1ce Ms. Davidson took over full responsibilities of her student teaching classroom, her class not only improved across all curriculum areas, they begged to come to school early and stay with her late. I attribute this attitude of her students to Ms. Davidson’ s truly caring personality. It was clear that Ms. Davidson took interest in her student's lives outside of school and as an educator we all know personal connections are what get the most out of our students. Ms. Davidson was seen often with her arm around a hurt student, kneeling to tie special needs student’s shoes when they couldn’t and best of all kicking homeruns as she played kickball with her students during her planning time. As a student teacher Ms. Davidson made a difference not only in her students lives, but also all the other 4" grade students. I personally witnessed Ms. Davidson writing personalized letters to students in other classrooms or motivating those not in her class with simple small rewards from her “reward drawer”. I’m confident Ms. Davidson will make the same difference in whatever school or situation she is in. T’m saddened to know there is a possibility that Ms. Davidson will be leaving our school because I want my own two daughters to have her as a teacher, mentor, and friend. The creativity radiates from her classroom and lessons are thoroughly developed with high student engagement being top priority. Itis clear that Ms. Davidson has all the attributes of a high quality teacher including her top-notch technology skills that she passes along to students, If you have the chance, ask Ms. Davidson about a school board presentation she put together using YouTube and her own creativity to showease our 4" grade IB unit she organized all on her own for the entire district, simply amazing.
