Overview of Progress
Both nations lie on opposite ends of the spectrum. Qatar needs to make
little changes, while Mali needs help to restructure the way of life.
Qatar: Qatar has literally met every single goal--the only setback is that
certain issues such as poverty, or malaria, were not even an issue to
begin with. Therefore, some goals have not improved much over time,
but that is because they had already met the goals. Qatars strengths
are its booming economy, strong education system, and job
opportunities for all those who wish to work.
Mali: Citizens of Mali have a low income, the nation has a low literacy
rate, and the child mortality rate and maternal healing could use much
improvement. Malis strength, however, is in environmental sustainability
regarding the environment. That is because they do not create many
emissions due to lack of production.
