What Do You Know About GMO
Im sure mant people have heard about GMO foods on the television and from the media.
So some people may know nothing of GMO but people will learn more of the subject. What the
reader will learn is the process of protein synthesis. Readers will learn about a popular method of
engineering foods, and readers will learn if these foods are a risk or not. So GMO is genetically
modified food that the readers are most likely eating. GMO foods are a risk to human health
because they increase human allergies. If people have allergies these foods are terrible for them
to consume these foods. Now the reader can see how genetically modified foods can affect
people body cells and if they might pose a threat to their body.
So before people can learn about this people need to learn about protein synthesis.
Protein Synthesis is a process where the amino acids make a strand of protein for DNA. The first
step is that the process called transcription has information in its DNA and is copied on an RNA
molecule on a strand of a DNA double helix. The next step is when the RNA is sent to the
cytoplasm which helps bring all the components required for protein synthesis. In the cytoplasm
the polymers are synthesized through the chemical reactions. Now, after all of these steps are
done the parts that these steps made now start to duplicate to make other things of these proteins
on the DNA helixs.
There are many different popular genetically modified food methods. There are some
where they just give it a shot. Some are where they put genes inside of a food which go through

the cell walls of the food. When they get the food mutated they repopulate that food so that the
foods will be as good and as big as possible. One popular method that people use on foods is
using whats called a gene gun. They put the gene gun which is like a shot put into the food. The
shot adds genes and the new genes inside of the food duplicate to make the modified food bigger
or better. These foods are also things that farmers depend on for a living and if the government
takes these foods away from farmers then the farmers will have to get more seeds, vegetables,
and fruits so they can still stay in business. These foods may also be in more foods that some
people may not even know.
GMO foods can be a bad thing because some might put unhealthy material inside of
peoples bodies. Some modified foods can be unhealthy because some make food allergies
increase in people. GMOs arent a terrible thing though because some foods dont pose a threat
to humans. These genetically modified foods can actually be good because they can make some
foods become worth more and they will be bigger. Some genetically modified foods can also be
made to taste better which is a positive. People need to know whether their foods are genetically
modified or if they arent. many people dont think its a big deal if people know or not because
many people eat these foods anyway.
So genetically modified foods sometimes will not be risky at all to eat. Some can be risky
but if they are risky it will be something very minor to some peoples health. So anyone can
choose what they think about these modified foods. Some people may even think that genetically
modified foods are the worst things that someone can possibly eat or possibly even put inside of
peoples body. So these foods arent terrible and arent a bad thing for humans to have, some of
these modified foods help the big businesses that need to make modified foods to stay in

business. All that matters though is whether or not people think that GMOs are a risky thing or
whether the readers think they are no risk.
