After reading the book Charlottes Web by E.B. White
students will as a group need to rewrite the story into their
own version. In the end, they will present this story to
another class.
Duration
of 1
month

The Lesson Structure:


Students will read the book Charlottes Web by E.B. White
in class, either as a class, in groups or individually, the
choice is for the students on any given day. When
students have finished reading the book, they will be given
an assignment to recreate as a class, the book. Students
will use the Edmodo sight to discuss among each other
ideas for their story and will plan what will happen
throughout the book. After their ideas are all set each
student will be required to write one chapter; if there are
more students than chapters, students can work together
in groups, or if more chapters than students, the students
can decide if they would like to write another chapter.
When each student then has their chapter or chapters
finished they will use the website padlet to combine all
their chapters into a book.
Closing/Assessment
Students will then present their story to another class in their
school

Students will discuss as a class the assignment as a whole, what they did and did not like about it, and what
they think they could improve on. They will also discuss E.B. Whites book and their book.

Resources/Materials
Charlottes Web by E.B. White students will be required to read this
Edmodo discussion among students about their story ideas and to come to a conclusion on the final
outcome
Padlet students will create their written book here
