FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 2 March 2015

Rabbitohs Statement Regarding NRL Breach Notice

The South Sydney Rabbitohs acknowledge the receipt of a National Rugby League breach notice today relating
to the NRL Integrity Units findings following its re-opened investigation into events that took place during the
Clubs high altitude training camp in Arizona in November 2014.
The Club will consider its position on this matter over the next five business days and reserves the right to
respond to the breach notice on both the merits of the findings and the severity of the proposed penalty.
The Club notes that there is no proposed finding by the NRL that the Club had actual knowledge that the
dismissal of the charges was based on a lawful financial compromise. Nor has the NRL sought to vary the
sanctions imposed by the Club on the players concerned.
The Club will be making no further comment until the Club has determined its position on the matter.

The South Sydney Rabbitohs enjoy one of the richest histories in the sport of Rugby League. Established in 1908, South Sydney has won
21 first grade premierships, more than any other including most recently the 2014 Premiership title, and has provided a record 65
internationals for the Australian Kangaroo squad. Fiercely loyal to its origins, the Club has consistently worn the cardinal red and myrtle
green colours since its inception, a lasting tribute to the rabbit vendors who first played for the Club in the inner suburbs of Sydney. The
rebirth of the Rabbitohs began on 7 June 2006 through a new partnership between Russell Crowe, Peter Holmes Court and the Members
of the Club. The Clubs Ticketed Membership now stands at over 19,000, with total Memberships in excess of 31,000 in 2015, the highest
for any NRL club. As a tribute to the Clubs unchanging and significant legacy, the National Trust of Australia has awarded the Rabbitohs the
prestigious status of National Community Icon, the first such award to any sporting organisation in Australia.
