Learning Target
o Review district expectations for common assessments, performance rubrics, and Fitness Gram
testing.
o Approve/recommend changes to 2nd grade loco motor performance rubric.
o Identify PSD PE elementary teachers needs/wants.
Common Assessment
o 5th grade: post-test only, test must be completed as early as late April, to late May
o Administer through Black Board or in paper/pencil (Scantron) format
o You no longer need to request your courses through Paul Meyer, please use the link on your
personal Black Board site
o No questions are to be deleted, all 29 are to be tested
o In Black Board click on: PE_PRE_POST_ASSESS: PE Pre and Post Assessments, and follow
the directions for how to import and launch your test
o Must be administered at school under the supervision of a teacher
o Record and save all data in both electronic and paper copy. These scores will need to be
transferred at a later time. As of today no district wide data collection tool has been identified.
Concern has been raised over: length of the test and the short time frame available to test
Performance Rubrics
o 2nd grade students: Loco motor Skills
o 3rd grade students: Overhand Dynamic Throw
Pre-test completed in August or September, or at the beginning of a particular unit
Post-test completed in April or May, or at the end of a particular unit
