EXPECTATIONS IN MRS. ALLENS CLASSROOM

Classroom Rules:
o

Be Respectful
Respect yourself by giving your best effort as explained in the expectations section. Also, respect yourself
and your integrity by not cheating. Cheating or copying others work is not beneficial to your education in
any way and will not be allowed; a 0 will be earned for any assignment, quiz, or test you are suspected of
cheating.
Respect your classmates by listening to them during class discussions and not shaming any classmate for
their question or response. You can also respect your classmates by not drawing any negative attention to
yourself which would lead to a disruption in the classroom.

Be Responsible
Being responsible includes arriving to class on time, being prepared for class, and having all assignments
completed. Class begins when the bell rings so if you are not to your seat by that time you will be marked
tardy; your second tardy will count as an absence. You need to be prepared for class by bringing all
necessary materials because no passes will be issued to students unless it is for an extreme circumstance.
Lastly, homework responsibilities are listed above.

Abide by the Student Handbook

This includes no cell phones, backpacks, or purses in class.

Consequences:
If there are continued problems with the issues listed above, the following actions will take place in this order:
o Verbal warning
o Student/Teacher conference
o Parent Contact
o Office referral
*This syllabus is subject to minor changes throughout the course as deemed necessary by the instructor.
