My name is Annelies Marie Frank Hollander, but everybody call me Anne Frank, was born

on June 12, 1929 in the city of Frankfurt. I was a Jewish girl of German nationality. My
parents, Otto Frank and Edith Hollander. I also had an older sister, Margot Frank. In 1933
my dad decided to move to Amsterdam, by the number of restrictions imposed by the
Nazis to the Jews throughout the territory of Germany.
But in 1940 the Nazi armies took possession of Holland, restricting the business activities
of all Jews. The risk to the life of the Jews began to be also an inevitable reality in the
Netherlands. The persecutions were the order of the day. The June 12, 1942 on my 13th
birthday, my parents gave me a notebook in which I wrote my personal life and that of all
those who shared their lives with me.
On July 6, 1942 my family took refuge in the annex of a house which is entered through a
secret door, "a closet library", which I call it the "secret annex." We were supported by
friends who donated food and other resources to survive. Then Herman van der Pels, his
wife and his son Peter joined the Annex.
Then a dentist named Alfred Dussel joins the Annex. When the Dutch education minister
calls - through the English radio - to keep the diaries written during the war and i decided
to prepare the text of my diary for it to be a novel called "The back rooms" and then i start
with rewriting, but before finishing, August 4, 1944, when a German command notice that
we were hiding in the annex, we were arrested except for my father. In March 1945 I was
contaminated by the disease of typhus in the Bergen Belsen and my life ends.
