Model: One Teach, One Support
Approach

One teacher leads instruction

while the co-teacher circulates
providing unobtrusive help as
needed. Experts recommend that
this option be used sparingly.
(Use 5% of the time)
This model doesnt take full
advantage of having two teachers
in the classroom.

Most often the general

education teacher takes the
lead while the special education
instructional strategist functions
more like a paraprofessional.
