Installing Office 2016 Preview (for business)

NOTE: You should be the Administrator for your business subscription, if you are not, please
check with your IT Admin before installing Office 2016 Preview.
1. Download the Admin_OfficePreview.zip script and documentation files from Connect.
2. Review the Whats New and Known Issues documents that downloaded with the script.
3. Right-click on the downloaded zip file and select Extract All

4. Open the zip file by double-clicking.

***DO NOT click on setup.exe, this file is included so that you can customize deployment
to your users using the Office Deployment Tool (ODT) for Administrators***
5. Open the Install Language folder you want to install.
6. Then select the .bat file of the product/platform you want to install. Example for English
(en-us):
a. ProPlus_en-us_x86 or ProPlus_en-us_x64
b. Visio_en-us_x86 or Visio_en-us_x64
c. Project_en-us_x86 or Project_en-us_x64

NOTE: If you select to install Project and dont have a license you will receiving the
following message. You will need to close the dialog box (right-hand X) and Project will not
be installed.

7. The Click-to-Run process will begin to stream the bits in the background.
8. When complete you will see the following confirmation dialog.

Uninstalling Office 2016 Preview

To uninstall the Office 2016 Preview, go to the Uninstall folder and run the Uninstall.bat file.
Customizing the Office Deployment configuration.xml for your users
You can create your own configuration.xml to use with the provided ODT v16.0 setup.exe file
provided in the Admin_OfficePreview.zip. To learn more about the Office Deployment Tool (ODT),
please go here. Please note, you must use the components provided in the
Admin_OfficePreview.zip to customize and *not* the files currently publicly available.
