AP Physics Club Summer Work

1. E-mail me at dlpjoshua@gmail.com to tell me youre (seriously) interested in

undertaking this endeavor (or ask questions about the Club/summer work).
2. Obtain the textbook University Physics with Modern Physics, 13th Ed. (It
should be attached with this under the summer assignment header.)
3. Read chapters 1-4 of the textbook and take notes.
4. Do the assigned problems from the end of each chapter.
a. Answers to Discussion Questions are expected to be complete
paragraph(s). There is no requirement other than that you answer the
question as completely as possible.
b. SHOW ALL YOUR WORK.
c. http://www.physicsclassroom.com/ may be used for assistance on the
problems below.
d. You may send in photos of your completed problem sets to the e-mail
above to receive worked-out answers; I will send scans of worked-out
answers by the date on which your Essay/Discussion Questions are
due, if so requested.
5. REALIZE THAT AP CALCULUS AB IS A CO-REQUISITE (MEANING YOU SHOULD
TAKE BOTH THIS COURSE AND AP CALC AB AT THE SAME TIME).
a. If you have not taken calculus, you may omit the problems marked
Calc.

Be warned, AP Physics C is an extremely demanding course, even more so since we

are learning via, essentially, independent study. I understand this may be quite a bit
of work, but if were really serious about this exam, this, and more, is what its going
to take.
