Department of Health Sciences and Human Ecology
The Bachelor of Science in Nutrition is appropriate for students preparing for careers dealing with foods,
nutrition, or dietetics. The Program provides the basic knowledge and competencies that are necessary to successfully
perform in areas related to dietetics: food science, foodservice production and management, community nutrition and
medical nutrition therapy. Graduates may work as a dietetic technician, dietary aide, and in many other food and nutrition
related jobs.

Admission standards and procedures are the same whether a
student intends to enroll at PDC or the San Bernardino campus.
Students should submit an application and transcripts of all
previous college course work as early as possible prior to the
time they wish to enroll. Applications can be obtained on-line
at: csumentor.edu or by calling or coming to the PDC office.
Pre-admission counseling is available.

GENERAL EDUCATION CAPSTONES

courses required of all students regardless of major. These
courses are to be taken at the university. They are not available
at the community college.
