Problem Analysis- ASEAN & World Issues

In the modern world, many countries were faces lots of different conflicts. The
most common one must be religious tension, especially in zone of Asia as we can see
in television or heard from the radio station. From the discussion circle, new was mainly
about the religious conflict in Myanmar between Buddhism (majority) and Muslim
(minority).
The problem started when one of the law was declared. This law included the
discrimination between religions and famines, which made Muslim unappreciated to this
law. In addition, most of Muslims immigrated from Bangladesh to Rakhine state, and
they asked for citizen and equality in Myanmar. However, Buddhists especially monks
were not agree with them. They didnt want others to become their people. This made
they fought to each other, known as Rakhine conflict. Moreover, the conflict grew bigger
in 2012, many people were dead and send to the displacement camp, but most of them
were mainly Rakhine.
Moreover, the election was setting up while this conflict still remained. This made
the United Nation thought that the conflict should be stop because it must affected the
election, which might not be good. So they created a draft legislation to against the old
law, but this dissatisfy to monks because they thought that the United nation was bias
towards Muslims. The result end up with buddhists protested in Yangon and drove the
United Nation out of Myanmar.
There were no solution for now, but based on opinion, we concluded that the law
should be canceled. They should separate religious law from country law. Moreover, the
government (or UN) should change people's attitude towards other religions through
education. Some of class, such as social studies, should teach the teaching or history of
other religion. This will make children understand and don't discriminate others. Lastly,
they should invited monks from other countries to teach Buddhism to monks, because
Burmese monks seem misunderstand about Buddha teachings. In Buddhism, we
thought to not discriminate others as we all same were human. No one should be
treated below than others.
However, this required lots of time. During the operation, it might have new
conflicts happened. In addition, sometimes teaching and indoctrinating religious
acknowledgement into students are not always efficient. It might not be worked if people
were not give a significant to it. Besides, the government was the one who created the
law, it should not be easy to cancel that law.
