Group Presentation

Instructions
1. Students will be divided into groups of 2 or 3.
2. With the assigned group, collect all group research (information and sites) using a
graphic organizer. This will allow group members to organize and present ideas using a
visual aid. Use a creative graphic organizer to clearly present the group topic, research
questions, and supporting evidence. The graphic organizer will be turned in, separately, to
me (the teacher).
3. After creating the presentation, the group should practice before to make sure that
every member gets to present within an 8-10 minute period. Remember to have
professional presentation etiquette. For example, do not read off notecards and do not
distract the audience while another group member is presenting. Every member must
present a part of the presentation.
4. Assign presentation tasks to each group member to make sure that all group members
are involved during the preparation and delivery of the presentation. Make a handwritten
list of which tasks are assigned to which group member as evidence of participation. This
list should not be included in the presentation but instead turned in separately.
5. Academic and scientific vocabulary should be used throughout the presentation.
Remember to incorporate the terms learned in class whenever possible (for example:
genetic engineering, recombinant DNA, plasmids)
6. The presentation will be graded based on the rubric below. Consequently, use this
rubric as a guide when making the group presentation.
