    Weareinvitingspeakerstovisitclassroomsthroughoutthemorning.Iamhopingthatwecanadd
    yournametothelistofaround30speakersthatwillmakethisdayasdiverseandmeaningfulaspossibleforour
    students.

    OurgoalsforCareerdayare:

    toexposeourstudentstoavarietyofprofessionsinallsectors(public,private,andnonprofit).
    toincreaseawarenessofthediversityofoptionsandcareerpathsavailabletothem
    toinformthemthatparticipationinservicelearningandinternshipsnowwillhelpenhancetheircollege
    applicationsandenrichtheiracademicexperiences

    Weareinvitingspeakerstomakeshortpresentations(about1015minutes)inclassroomsthroughoutthemorning
    sessions.Inteams,presenterswillvisitandmakepresentationsin23classrooms,beginningat9:53am.Your
    presentationcanbeasformalorinformalasyoulike.Speakersshouldplantoarriveby8:30amforcheckinand
    breakfast.

    Eachclasswillhaveupto25students,andclassperiodsareabout45minutesinlength.Wewouldlikeyouto
    brieflydiscussyourcurrentjobandtheuniquecareerpathandlifejourneyyoufollowedtogetthere,including:the
    natureofyourjob,youraverageday(ifthereissuchathing!),thelevelofeducationandpreparationyourjob
    requires,howtopursueacareerinyourfield,anyadviceforourstudents,etc.Besuretoleavetimeforaquestion
    andanswerperiodourstudentsarealwaysinquisitive!Handoutsandothermaterialsarewelcomecomplementto
    yourpresentation.Pleaseletusknowifyouhaveanyaudiovisualneeds,andwewilldoourbesttoaccommodate
    them.
