Intro
Badminton is an indoor game played with racket and shuttle cocks by either one
player or two players per side. When one person each side play its known as
singles and when two play its known as doubles. One/two players tend on each
side of a court divided in half. The objective of the game is to outwit the
opponent.

Size of the court Singles court - The court size is badminton must be the same in any game
of badminton. A badminton court has to be 40X17 ft (20X17ft each side).
The size of the court must be the same because a bigger court or a
smaller court can be an advantage or a disadvantage for different players
so it is one fixed size.
Doubles court a doubles court is slightly bigger than a singles court as
there is two more player the court size in enhanced to 44X22 ft (22X20 ft
each side) this so players have more space to play shots easier and more
effective.
Height of net
The height of net in badminton must be the same in a game because if it
is lower it then becomes easier to hit the shuttle easier to get over and it
becomes to easy and if they net is higher it becomes harder to play shots
like an overhead smash as the net may be taller than the player.
Venue
Badminton in an indoor sport which must be played indoors because wind
can determine the direction of the shuttle cocks and any kind of weather
such a rain, sunlight and snow can have a big impact as If you get sunlight
for example in your eyes it can become hard to see the shuttle and then
becomes a disadvantage.
The shuttlecock
The shuttle must be made of either plastic or goose feathers.
Rules
In badminton each player is only aloud one hit each time the shuttle
crosses the net.
Service Players can only serve diagonally and to serve into the service box on the
other side of the net.
Racket rule The head of the racket cannot be above your elbow when are serving
The racket cannot touch the net when the shuttlecock is in play. A point
will be given to the opposing player
The current scoring system in badminton is the 3 21 rally point scoring system.
This means that three games are played to 21 points each, with a required two
point difference between scores (meaning scores can go above 21, to a
maximum of 30).
