Name Explanation:
Cheng, to receive; Guang, brightness. The point is at the vertex of the head,
where brightness is easily received.

Location:
On the head, 2.5 cun directly above the midpoint of the anterior hairline and 1.5
cun lateral to the midline.
Location (previously defined):
Localization:
In sitting position with the head at rest, first locate Quchai (BL 4). The point is
located 2 cun directly superior to Quchai (BL 4).
Indications:
1) Diseases of Head and Sense Organs: Headache, dizziness, stuffy nose,
running nose. 2) Other Diseases: Febrile disease without sweating, vomiting,
dysphoria.
Mechanism of Action:
See Meichong (BL 3) and Tianzhu (BL 10).
Method:
Puncture subcutaneously 0.3-0.5 cun. Moxibustion is applicable.
Acupoint Prescriptions:

Vomiting: Chengguang (BL 6), Dadu (SP 2). (Experience on Acupuncture and
Moxibustion Therapy )
Regional Anatomy:
Skin-subcutaneous tissue-epicranial aponeurosis. In the superficial layer, there
are the supraorbital nerve and the supraorbital artery and vein. In the deep layer,
there are the subaponeurotic loose connective tissue and the pericranium.
