EDIT 610: Assignment 11

SURVEY MONKEY
1. Assessment to see if they have learned their
grammar skills for the week (Capital Letters)
2. Students learning preferences on interest
within the elementary school.

1. Survey one will help me to see if the majority

of my students will pass the grammar test (also
given to them with paper and pencil).
2. Survey two will give me information about
topics that will help enhance my classroom and
give an overview of students interests.

STUDENTS TAKING THE SURVEY

Created this online survey to assess the students
who are currently in my second grade classroom.
I have a total of 22 students
Age range 7-8
Boys: 10, Girls: 12
Ethnicity: Caucasian, African American,
Hispanic
Since we only have 5 desktops we are limited on
time and availability (so about half of the
students took the survey assessment).

DATA COLLECTED: SURVEY 1

DATA COLLECTED: SURVEY 1 CONT.

Students enjoyed taking the grammar
assessment online instead of using paper and
pencil. The only issues is how can I know which
student took which survey if I wanted to use as a
real assessment to put in the gradebook?
Q1: 100% same answer
Q2: 100% same answer
Q3: 25% A, 75% B
Q4: 20% B, 80% C
Q5: 20% A, 80% C

DATA COLLECTED: SURVEY 2

This Survey was to get an idea of students
interest. This survey I did not need to see who
took the assessment.
Overall information, Majority of the students
picked reading for their favorite subject.
Overall, students picked Art for their favorite
special area.
Majority of students picked Read to Self/Read to
Someone was their favorite workstation-which
kind of surprises me. The one station I thought
they would pick none of the students I assessed
picked it.

DATA COLLECTED: SURVEY 2 CONT.

Students scored showed a huge pick for Beat the
Calculator as their favorite math game.
I asked students how much they read a week and
all of them said almost every night! Which is
great to see. I should have told students I dont
know whose answers go with what to see if they
would have been more honest.
