families as well as make referrals for all families in Pennsylvania.

Tiny Town offers preschool and child care services to children and families in the Westmoreland County area. They offer
weekday hours from 6 AM to 12 AM. They offer weekend hours too! Tiny Town also accepts CCIS funds.

How does Nicely support young children who may have educational, social,
and/or special education needs?
Intervention Services:
Child Lunch Program:
Nicely Elementary has a Title I Reading
specialist and intern. Their program
consists of small group reading skill
instruction. In the 2013-14 school year
they will be implementing a one-on-one
reading intervention program for readers
who struggle severely. Students are
admitted into the program according to
reading scores and other data. There is
also an after school reading program
conducted b y University of Pittsburgh
students for children who excel in
reading.
In addition, there is an after school math
program for children who need extra
assistance entitled, Kids Express.

Nicely Elementary offers free and reduced


breakfast and lunches to families who qualify.
Big B rothers Big Sisters of the Laurel Region
shares a lunch buddy program with Nicely
Elementary. High school and post-secondary
education students eat lunch with and mentor
children who need it. Buddies are assigned to
match the needs and interests of the students
(with documented parent disclosure).
Financial Assistance:
There is no tuition to attend Nicely Elementary.
Books, school supplies, and other school
essentials are provided for the students.
