Spiritual and Magical Philosophies Remanifestation
*One of my goals as a left-hand path practitioner is to
fully Become. To become better than I was yesterday; wiser, more intuitive, more powerful, detached from the emotional and psychological drain of others (and the guilt that often follows) and more in tune with myself, the Spirits and the Divine. I am not the same person I was a month ago. Each day brings a new Remanifestation; a change of heart, perspective and hopefully, growth in the Old Ways. This is the paradox of the Nightside once I get comfortable, once I feel at home and secure, the rug is ripped out from under me and I find myself sprawled on the floor, not entirely surprised to find myself there. This is what I signed up for. Transformation. Becoming. The Nightside Visions of gods-in-the-making. There is no stasis. Change is the only constant, destruction my salvation. My sole security lies in embracing that chaos and fearing it not. - BW Book excerpt: Nightshades - A Tourist Guide to the Nightside, Jan Fries All better spiritual, mystical or magical systems include a process that might be termed the development of a new personality. It means, somewhat simplified, that the you you consider yourself to be, transforms into the sort of person who handles enlightenment and magick with competence and (hopefully) wisdom, care and consideration. Every system of initiation reaches a point where it becomes a superfluous absurdity. Every personality, no matter how beautiful, clever and wise, eventually becomes an obstacle. The identity that can be named is bound and limited. And what exactly constitutes wisdom is easy to know once you've gone beyond your own point of view.
