Mutia ‘SB MEMBER RESOLUTION NO. 438 series of 2015 “A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE PEACE PROCESS UNDER THE ADMINISTRATION OF PRESIDENT BENIGNO SIMEON C. AQUINO, Il.” WHEREAS, Chapter 9 of the Philippine Development Plan 2011-2016 states that the government shall exert all efforts to win the peace, through the adoption of a two-pronged approach : (1) Track 1, which seeks to achieve negotiated political settlement of all armed conflicts and (2) the Complementary Track, which aims to address the causes of all armed conflicts and all other issues that affect the peace process through development, security and justice interventions; WHEREAS, the administration of President Benigno Simeon C. Aquino, til has been actively pursuing negotiated political settlement to end armed conflict with recognized secessionist and ideological groups; WHEREAS, significant progress toward lasting peace in Mindanao has been made through the crafting and signing of the CAB, and the drafting of the BBL; WHEREAS, prior to the unfortunate “misencounter” at Mamasapano, there had been no armed encounters with the MILF since 2011; WHEREAS, significant progress have also been gained through the ongoing implementation of the Government's deliverables as specified in Prevailing peace agreements and closure agreements with recognized secessionist and ideological groups;Page 2 Resolution No. 438, series of 2015, WHEREAS, significant developments have been achieved, under the current administration, with regards to addressing the causes of conflict and issues affecting the peace process, and the focused development interventions in conflict-affected areas; AFTER DUE DELIBERATION On motion of ABC President Jerry M. Culanag, jointly seconded by all members present, it was RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved by the Sangguniang Bayang of Maigo, Lanao del Norte, in session assembled, to pass A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE PEACE PROCESS UNDER THE ADMINISTRATION OF PRESIDENT BENIGNO SIMEON C.
