February 19, 2015 ‘To Vice President PC Party, Edmonton Area, Alberta Dear Sir/Madam, RE: Irrogularity in Ellerslie Nomination |'am taking this opportunity to bring to your notice that | have been unfairly coerced to withdraw from ‘nomination on February 18, 2015 from Ellerslie PC Nomination. | was contesting against Naresh ‘Bhardwaj and he contacted almost every member who recommended me in the Eliersife Riding for nomination. The minimum requirement for filing nomination is recommendation of 25 existing residents of the Ellerslie Riding. I got recommendations from 30 members. From the beginning | was treated unfairly by Mr, Chandar Mittal, who is the Chair Person of Ellerslie Nomination, He even refused to take ‘my nomination papers until the second last day after my request to the Calgary office. The moment my ‘omination was approved multiple hurdles were created for me so that | can be disqualified before the ‘nomination date which was February 21, 2025. | gave explanations forall complaints against me however to my surprise | received phone call around 3:00 pm on February 18, 2015 by the executive director of the nomination committee and he asked me to withdraw nomination within fifteen minutes, | requested him that itis unfair as | have the right to know the allegations against me but he cohered me withdraw my nomination over the phone without providing me with any valid justification or providing ‘me with any document. Itis completely unfair andagainst the principles of natural justice to coheres someone in a democratic society and in a democratic party to withdraw nomination without providing, ‘me with an opportunity to provide any justification for any alleged allegations egalnst me, Under ccoheres ion by the executive director, | was forced to withdraw my nomination but | have full faith in the PC Party constitution and request that an independent investigation be conducted due to the itcegularity in the nomination process in the Ellerslie Riding, | was contacted by some of the members ‘who signed my initial nomination for and they told me that Naresh Bhardwa) tried to influence them ‘and told them that they will get financial favors in case they write a etter or a sworn statement to the PC Party nomination office by falsifying that they never signed my initial nomination papers. Itis a very disturbing trend and these members are ready to give sworn statement to confirm this attempt by Naresh Bhardwaj to influence them.
