‘Synopsis of Probable Cause
Affiant wishes to advise the court that on April 12th of 2015, 7
Detective Keon Washington, your affiant, was summoned to conduct an
investigation into sexual misconduct involving a 15 year old male and a 25 year
old female. The incidents in question were alleged to have occurred
approximately two years ago.
On the aforementioned date, affiant made contact with the complainant and
her now 17 year old son, the victim. The complainant advised that she recently
learned that her son; who attends Christian Life Academy, was involved in an
intimate relationship with a teacher at the school that took place
approximately two years ago. The complainant advised that the relationship
began in the spring of 2013 while her son was 15 years of age, and in his
freshman year at the school. The complainant advised that she had just
recently learned of the incident from a former student who confided in her that
she was aware of the relationship between the victim and the accused, later
identified as one Amber Leigh Anderson (W/F 01/29/1988) .
After speaking with the complainant, I then made contact with the victim;

The victim advised that in April of 2013 he was 15 years of age, and in
his freshman year at the school. The victim advised that around that time, he
and the accused began to text one another. The victim advised that he received
the accused’s cellphone number from another student at the school. The victim
advised that as time progressed, he and the accused became extremely close to
one another, and the messages began to become sexual in nature. The victim
advised that he and the accused began to exchange nude pictures of each other.
The victim advised that it was during July of 2013, that he and the
accused began to engage in sexual intercourse. The victim advised that he and
the accused began to meet with each other outside of school. The victim advised
that he would walk to a fast food restaurant near his residence; where he would
then be picked up by the accused in her vehicle. The victim advised that the
accused would then bring him to her residence nearby, where the two of them
would engage in sexual intercourse. The victim advised that this occurred
multiple times throughout the summer months (July, August).
The victim advised that nearing the end of the summer, his mother
discovered that he and the accused had been exchanging text messages. He the
victim advised that although his mother had discovered that he and the accused
were texting, he had previously deleted a majority of the text messages,
preventing his mother from learning of the intimate nature of he and the
accused's relationship. The victim advised that at this time, his mother
confronted the accused, and instructed her to discontinue texting the victim.

administration.
In moving forward with this investigation, affiant was able to obtain
the victim’s cellphone records from the period in time in which he and the
accused were involved. In viewing the records, affiant observed numerous
calls, texts, and picture messages exchanged between the accused and the victim
between the months of June and August of 2013. Affiant further observed that
many of the messages and calls occurred between the hours of 2200 hours and
0200 hours.
Armed with this information, affiant contacted the accused and informed
her of the investigation. The accused agreed to meet with affiant at EBRSO
Headquarters. Prior to questioning the accused, she was advised of her rights
per Miranda via a statement of rights form. After being allowed to read the
form, the accused signed the form, indicating that she was willing to speak
with affiant without the presence of an attorney.
Under direct questioning, the accused admitted to being involved in an
intimate relationship with the victim. The victim further admitted to meeting
with accused and transporting him to her residence to engage in sexual
intercourse. The accused advised that the relationship was a “mistake”, and
apologized for “taking the victim’s innocence”.
The accused was subsequently booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison
