Phil Thramer

-- I believe that every student should have an equal opportunity to learn.
Therefore I will strive to create a learning atmosphere that is fair, but equal
for each student that walks through the door.

-- I believe that a strong student-teacher relationship will enhance learning.
Therefore I will communicate as effectively as possible with each student
while trying to meet his or her needs not only as a student, but also as a
person.

-- I believe that realizing students differences is imperative to be an effective
teacher.
Therefore I will include multiple learning styles that meet the needs of
students who range in learning ability.

-- I believe teachers should be the models of what they expect out of their
students.
Therefore I will continually hold myself accountable to all expectations that I
set for my students, in addition to my role as a professional with my
colleagues.

-- I believe both students and teachers should possess the trait of being life-
long learners.
Therefore I will join students when opportunities are presented to learn and
develop along side of them.

-- I believe teachers should challenge students.
Therefore I will express my expectations of students from the beginning and
continue to encourage them so they can reach their full potential.

-- I believe that an effective classroom must be managed properly in order to
possess an efficient level of learning.
Therefore I will put a strong emphasis on the value of effective
communication between students and myself.

-- I believe that students should learn to embrace the diversity that the world
offers.
Therefore I will develop a classroom of cultural respect and acceptance while
emphasizing the importance of interactions between diverse groups.

--The direction in which education starts a man will determine his future in life--Plato-
