How are Business logistics affecting the survival and growth of business and the economy?
Working Thesis: Over time the competition of business has made organization and application
of resources increasingly prevalent; hinging growth and survival on the efficiency of logistics.
Refined Thesis: Logistics is a broad term with multiple applications, specifically, business
logistics pertain to the management of a businesss resources from organization of goods to the
sale of said goods; knowledge and expertise of which is becoming more prevalent to survival in
the increasingly competitive stage of todays market.

Logistics can be best described, as it relates to small business, as the systems that connect
businesses to the customers and the market. In an economy where private business has been on a
rise, business logistics have become increasingly important. Unfortunately, most of the logistic
practices that keep business afloat are dismissed or forgotten. This results, more often than not,
in business failure or bankruptcy. This article collects the statistics concerning the causes of
business failure, and lists the most common reasons for failure amongst them along with the

advision of an economic expert. Conveniently, almost all of the reasons could have been avoided
with proper logistical structure or knowledge. Eric Wagners article will support the conclusion
that business failure can largely be attributed to lack of logistical foresight.

Everyone is aware of the role that logistics plays in the growth of a business, but what
about its survival? This article works to gather information that directly links the survival and
existence of a business to its proficiency with logistics. These logistics not only relate to the
businesses customers, but also their competitors in the market. These connections create the
adversities that generate fluctuations in our economy. This article goes even further, stating that
business logistics are quintessential to the advancement of the economy and proficiency of
problem solving. This article on the necessity of logistics will emphasize the point that business
logistics are become increasingly essential to the survival of our economy.

Whilst business logistics primarily concerns the businesses connection to the market, it
also includes its reception, allocation, and organization of its resources. What goes on, Behind
the scenes is equally as important as what is seen up front. If a business lacks the logistical
expertise to organize its assets and resources, then it will fail. This article is about one of many

large companies whom have seen a decent degree of success, whom are now offering what is
called third party logistics. LPKC has programs to organize and teach logistics to smaller
businesses or subsidiaries. Businesses are now not only affected by their knowledge of business
logistics, but are now profiting from it. This article will prove the point that business logistics
have become overwhelmingly important to the economy in more ways than the survival of
business.
