Postgraduate Internship Program
700 W. Washington Street
P.O. Box 6222
Indianapolis, IN 46206-6222
Dear Postgraduate Internship Selection Committee Members,
I would like to officially declare my interest in the Postgraduate Internship opportunities
available June 2013 May 2014 at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Office.
These internship positions are best suited for a candidate with a background in sport
administration and with proven managerial, administrative, and organizational skills. I
understand the significance of professional written and verbal communication, details specific to
reporting policies and procedures, and timeliness of completing assigned projects. I am qualified
for a Postgraduate Internship position based on my academic achievements, knowledge and
appreciation of the NCAA structure, teaching experiences, and energetic communication and
interpersonal skills.
My academic achievements have provided me the groundwork necessary for a successful career
in college athletics. I aspire to learn more through positive, hands-on internship opportunities
provided by the NCAA. Additionally, I have developed administrative, mentoring, and
organizational skills necessary for success in this position through my teaching experiences. I
believe my communication and interpersonal skills are a great fit for the responsibilities in a
postgraduate internship of this caliber. I am very eager to assist the NCAA staff in the continual
planning, organizing, leading and evaluating best practices for protecting student-athletes while
emphasizing athletics as well as academic excellence.
Thank you for reviewing my application package. I can be contacted via telephone at
615.809.6408 or through electronic mail at philip.mosley@pop.belmont.edu if you have any
questions.
Sincerely,
Philip D. Mosley
