After some more precise searches related to components of English teachers that teach English, I decided to talk about the teaching methods of the faculty, which can be classified into two large groups: traditional methods and modern methods. In the traditional methods, the three most important methods are: the method of translation, audio-lingual method, the PPP method (presentation, practice, production). Method of translation is a classic one, simple and considered very effective. It is based on the study of grammar, vocabulary and literature. The teacher has the duty to realize the students mistakes and straighten them, with the goal to put emphasis on accuracy. Audio-lingual method has as main objective the use of language in a communicative way. Vocabulary and grammar are elements that helps students in speaking, but are present in the form of dialogues, which are learned through repetition and imitation. The PPP method put into practice the elements learned through interactive games and practice rehearsal techniques. In the second category, namely modern methods, are included many teaching methods, the most important being the direct method, the method of silence and suggestopedia. Direct method has as main purpose learning students to communicate in a foreign language. The important part is that the teacher is not allowed to use the translation, he must use the real pictures and even pantomime. The vocabulary is practiced in context. Through this process are developed four dimensions: oral expression ability and the oral message reception, written expression ability and capacity of reception of the message. The silence method is based on the practice of intensive pronunciation and grammar. The teacher's role is to help students understand and they are encouraged to autocorrect themselves. Is put more accent on continuous evaluation. Suggestopedia method apply the study of suggestion in pedagogy. Students participate in various activities: reading, practice through interactive games and interpretations of various dialogs. The vocabulary and the ability of oral and written expression are the most important elements. Grammar is not considered so important. Personally, I love to learn a foreign language, such as English, through interactive games, music and educational mini-videos. Student Mares Ana Teodora Class 9E
