Definitions
F-1 - student visa
OPT - extension of F-1; can use to transition to H-1B
H-1B - leads to Green Card; can moonlight
J-1 - no Green Card; 2-year Return to Home Country
requirement after residency; cannot moonlight
I-20 - Certificate of Eligibility for F-1 Student Status
Must present this document whenever entering
the US. It must be renewed every summer with a
signature from an OISS officer
Form 8433 - an IRS form you submit in tax season
(deadline - April 15). If you had no US income
that year, its the only form you file with the IRS.
Certifies youre a non-resident for tax purposes.

MCCQE1 - take in M4; required for Canadian programs
MCCQE2 - take during Canadian residency
USMLE Step1, 2 CK, 2 CS required for graduation
USMLE Step 3 take during US residency
